Denon S-Port - 1990 - US

Denon is consistently one of the most expensive blank Cassette brands anywhere.

These S-Port might be like an HD6 (equal to a TDK SA), but I am not sure.
I have read somewhere on Tapeheads that a review in 1996 compared it to an HD7 (comparable to TDK SA-X). I'm welcoming corrections and other opinions with regards to this very fine cassette!

This "Slim Portable" cassette continues to strangely going unnoticed. They are simply, a very high quality Denon cassette. Denon never really gave up on quality unlike some of the others. When the quality of tapes began to be compromised, Denon pulled out of the cassette business. That was their commitment to quality. They were all in!

About Denon:

Denon (株式会社デノン Kabushiki Kaisha Denon) is a Japanese electronics company that was involved in the early stages of development of digital audio technology, while specializing in the manufacture of high-fidelity professional and consumer audio equipment. For many decades, Denon was a brand name of Nippon-Columbia, including the Nippon Columbia record label. The Denon brand came from a merger of Denki Onkyo and others in 1939. In 2001, Denon was spun off as a separate company with 98% held by Ripplewood Holdings and 2% by Hitachi. In 2002, Denon merged with Marantz to form D&M Holdings. On March 1st, 2017, Sound United LLC completed the acquisition of D+M Holdings.
