Fuji FR-II - 1982 - US

A superb 1982 Fuji Type 2 tape, with a really well made shell, great metallic label, perfectly smooth-cut pancakes and overall superb finish. Fuji, like some of the other top brand cassette manufacturers during this time (80's) aimed only to reach the highest possible standards. That was how they competed back then to increase their profits, by offering only their best. At some point, this model of business became obsolete, and not just for tapes! 

Fuji quietly became second to none in the overall quality finish of their cassettes. Meticulously put together with their Japanese master precision standards and 40 years later, Fuji should (still today, 2023) be congratulated for the quality of the cassettes they produced. It's not easy to let go of these tapes.
