Fuji FR-IIx - 1992 - US
Fuji is always a superb cassette, however which one was the predecessor to this tape?
For the North American market:
The FR-II and the FR-II-S were manufactured between 1982 and 1988.
The DR-II. FR-IIx and FR-IIx-PRO were manufactured between 1989 and 1994
The DR-II, Z and ZII were manufactured between 1995 and 1997.
I'm going to suggest that the DR-II was the original FR-II formulation. The FR-IIx (then Z) was the original FR-II-S formulation, leaving the FR-IIx-PRO (then ZII) as Fuji's last improved and developed Type II formulation.
Like any other of the major brands, Fuji had truly brilliant tapes and the quality of their finished product was second to none.
Impossible to go wrong with Fuji tapes. Underrated.
Made in Japan. Slim Case. Lightly scuffed wrappers.
