The last ever Type II from the creators of the compact cassette.
Whilst many brands went the OEM route towards the end, especially using SKC and Saehan, Philips didn't. These could be some of the last pure chromes ever made and looking at the hubs we'd hazard Philips-DuPont Media was still making them.
You'll need a deck with manual calibration facilities, and don't record them over 0db, but then you'll find that these sound fantastic and full, with low hiss.

The Compact Audio Cassette (CAC) or Musicassette (MC), also commonly called the cassette tape or simply tape or cassette, is an analog magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback. Released by Philips in 1962,[2] it has been developed in Hasselt, Belgium. Compact cassettes come in two forms, either already containing content as a prerecorded cassette, or as a fully recordable "blank" cassette. Both forms are reversible by the user.[3]
